Everything was delicious! Our favorites were the Jamaican BBQ sandwich, the coffee and chocolate ice cream shake, & the Queen of Sheba!
Came here due to good reviews, but 11usd for 2 dry toast (not special bread), 2 eggs and little fruit is robbery. Lots of placed nearby for better presentation, quantity and same price. Staff was lovely tho.
My husband and I ate breakfast here during our time in Costa Rica and were so delighted at this place. The open air atmosphere, the friendly staff, the enormous amounts of options to fit all dietary needs is wonderful. I will say the food does take a while to come out but everything is fresh and made to order. Can’t rush it! Bring a book, have a coffee, strike up a conversation and enjoy the Pura Vida lifestyle.
This small little café is an absolute gem. The food is fantastic—especially breakfast. Fresh-squeezed orange juice, amazing coffee topped with fresh chocolate syrup, and the best homemade peanut butter paired with oatmeal pancakes… it’s comfort and quality all in one bite ☕️🍊🥞 And just when you think it can’t get better, they also offer freshly made desserts and chocolates that you can enjoy there or take with you for later. Everything tastes homemade, thoughtful, and made with care. If you’re looking for a cozy spot with incredible breakfast, great coffee, and sweet treats to finish it off, this café is a must-stop. We’ll definitely be back!
Bread and Chocolate is definitely a must stop try for breakfast if you can. We both enjoyed our breakfast and even had enough to eat with our dinner that evening. Taste is amazing and the ice mocha coffee was perfect. The brief live music was another great start to our day. I also recommend their cookies too. Check the opening days as we forget they are not always open every day. Enjoy.
