Absolutely loved our experience at Mangata! The food was delicious from start to finish. The ceviche was a generous portion, packed with fresh seafood and incredible flavor. Every dish was beautifully prepared and tasted amazing. The views were stunning and made the whole dining experience even more special. Great food, beautiful atmosphere, and definitely a place we’d come back to. Steven was super helpful and friendly in helping us pick a plate! Highly recommend!
After having a disappointing experience at another nearby restaurant, El Avion, the four of us decided to leave and try Mangata Restaurant instead — and honestly, it was the best decision we could have made. From the moment we arrived, the service was warm, professional, and attentive. The food was absolutely incredible: fresh ingredients, amazing presentation, and authentic Peruvian fusion flavors that truly stood out. Every dish we ordered exceeded our expectations. The atmosphere was elegant, relaxing, and welcoming, making the entire evening enjoyable from start to finish. It is rare to find a place that delivers both exceptional cuisine and impeccable service so consistently. If you are visiting Manuel Antonio and want a truly memorable dining experience, we highly recommend Mangata Restaurant. We will definitely return and will gladly bring future clients and friends with us.
Food: everything was so presentable and flavorful. It's one of the best places to eat in the area. High recommended. The classic cerviche was full flavored and they were not stingy on the fish. We also had four fish taquitos which were really good. Excellent for sharing. Finally the rice and steak bowl was delicious and huge. Definitely enough for two people imo.
This place really stood out to me from start to finish—the drinks were fantastic and refreshing, the seafood tasted incredibly fresh, and the views made the whole experience feel special. One thing I can’t stop thinking about is one of the best tacos I’ve had anywhere—seriously, it was that good. The service tied it all together, especially our waiter Steven, who was super friendly and made us feel right at home without overdoing it. Between the food, atmosphere, and overall vibe, it’s definitely a spot I’ll be coming back to.
Exceptionally good food and service! Steven gave us great introduction into the specials of the restaurant, extremely friendly and very professional. We ordered Cevice Carretillero with Risotto de mar a la huancaina as well as kid’s spaghetti with white sauce plus a couple of cocktails and it was absolutely delicious, excellent combination of spices, tuna was just perfect, risotto rice cooked to perfection. 5 out of 5 for every dish. unbelievable sunsets come on top for free :) Edit: after a second visit, I wish I could give this place a Michelin star! Each and every dish is a masterpiece with a a very great serving. Also with one of the best cocktails (Pisco Sour with passion fruit) I ever had.
