Enjoyed a delicious tuna fillet & sea bass wrapped in banana leaves. Great portion sizes and so tasty!! All recommended by the lovely Roberto, who was super helpful and friendly! A great dinner.
Restaurante Marlin was a pleasant place to eat. The food was great and the fish was perfectly flavorful and fried, and the pasta was tasty and savory. The service was outstanding and they were so kind and welcoming. The food was a little on the expensive side but was somewhat worth it. It is so nice to sit outside and enjoy the breeze near the beach in the evening. Restaurante Marlin was a great restaurant that got the job done.
Wonderful service was the first thing that made this place stand out. I was craving fresh tuna, and while there aren’t any raw tuna dishes on the menu (aside from the seared tuna), our waiter Steven went above and beyond, he checked with the chef, and they were kind enough to make a poke for me. Every single dish was fabulous and incredibly fresh. We also really enjoyed the drinks. I had a couple of piña coladas (even though I usually go for sparkling wine) the pineapples in Costa Rica are to die for, and their piña coladas were flavorful, rich, and creamy… yum. Totally recommend this place.
We had a great meal here and would absolutely come back. The location right on the water is fantastic, and the value felt very reasonable given the setting and the quality of the food. We started with the grilled calamari appetizer, which was well cooked, tender, and nicely seasoned. For mains, we shared the grilled octopus and the whole fried fish, which the staff said was seabass. The octopus was a standout, perfectly grilled with great flavor and texture. The whole fried fish was generous, crispy on the outside, and moist inside, a classic preparation done well. Portion sizes across the board were very reasonable. The staff was attentive and friendly without being intrusive, and the overall atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming. It is also a kid friendly establishment, which made the experience even better for our family. Solid food, great location, and good service. A very enjoyable meal and an easy recommendation if you are in the area.
