We ordered olla de carne (beef stew). Before ordering, we asked if it was fresh and they told us it was made that day. When we tasted it, it was terrible. Some of the vegetables tasted bad and the meat was overcooked. When we asked the waitress about it, we told her it wasn't good, and she said the olla de carne wasn't fresh or made that day—in other words, she lied to us and tricked us into buying something that wasn't right. In the end, we paid for bad, stale food and were left feeling cheated. I don't recommend the olla de carne at this place; it was awful.
The place is clean and nice, the service was good, I don't know if the meal included an appetizer but they brought us a very good soup. I ordered a casado with breaded chicken, it was delicious and quite a generous portion. I would definitely go back.
