Restaurante El Arado

A very good local restaurant, that serves good fish and steaks. We took the tuna rolls for starters, that were very fresh and tasty. For main courses we ordered a tuna steak and a portion of surf and turf which were prepared exactly to our taste. The house margarita was very nice. The service was great and our waiter was very hospitable. Highly recommended
We had lunch here on our first day and went back for dinner a few nights later. The staff were all friendly and the food delicious. The restaurant is open with lots of wood and has a nice relaxed vibe. Between both meals we had the Tico rice (one vegetarian, one shrimp)- a savoury rice with veggies and excellent fries on the side, the fish cassado (bbq’d mahi mahi in a fantastic sauce), fish ceviche (lots of fish and perfect balance of sour and sweet, with mixed veg, plantain and potato chips) and the tuna rolls (6 rolls packed with tuna, avocado, mango and cucumber in rice paper wraps). The food is excellent and although never full the restaurant had a steady stream of customers both days so made for a nice atmosphere.
We enjoyed our dinner at this restaurant. We got the chicken tico rice which was very flavorful and some spinach cheese ravioli pasta which was creamy and delicious. Nice ambience with live music and good service.
El Arado in Manuel Antonio is an absolute gem 🌴🔥. We kicked things off with the tuna rolls—fresh, flavorful, and the perfect start. For mains, the garlic jumbo shrimp were rich and perfectly cooked, while the churrasco steak was juicy, bold, and seriously satisfying. Dessert sealed the deal with the volcano cake… pure indulgence. Add in excellent gin & tonics, great wine, the perfect host Rafael and laid-back reggae vibes, and you’ve got a place that feels as good as it tastes. If you’re in Manuel Antonio, El Arado is a must. 🍷🎶🥩
