Manuel Antonio Falafel Bar
Costa Rica
レビュー
The food was incredible, and the portions were generous. The self-service salad bar was a refreshing option, offering a wide variety of fresh ingredients. We indulged in the chicken shawarma platter, falafel platter, and chicken schnitzel sandwich. Each platter came with pita bread, hummus, fries, and an unlimited salad from the salad bar. The mango-ginger smoothie was a delightful addition to our meal. Overall, everything was delicious! However, the service at the counter could be improved. The lady at the counter was unfriendly and lacked courtesy. The location was also a bit noisy due to its proximity to a busy road. Parking could be a bit challenging as well.
We stopped here after hearing they had some of the best falafels around, and they absolutely lived up to the hype. My boyfriend is extremely picky when it comes to falafel, and he couldn’t stop talking about how good these were! They were perfectly crispy on the outside, soft and flavorful on the inside, exactly how falafel should be. I ordered the chicken shawarma plate, which was equally delicious. The chicken was well-seasoned without being overly salty, and everything tasted incredibly fresh. Each plate came with fries and hummus, but what really sets this place apart is the self-serve toppings bar. There were pickled vegetables, cabbage, fresh cucumbers/tomatoes, sauces, and plenty of other toppings to customize your meal exactly how you like it. We also loved the complimentary fried pita chips with tahini sauce while waiting for our food. The best way I can describe the meal is fresh and vibrant. Every ingredient tasted crisp and thoughtfully prepared. We both completely cleaned our plates. As someone who enjoys Mediterranean food, I thought it was excellent, but my partner is a true Mediterranean food enthusiast and declared it a top-notch spot. If you’re craving casual Mediterranean food done right, this place is absolutely worth a visit.
The food was absolutely delicious with pretty generous portion sizes. We ordered the falafel platter and the shawarma platter and both were really satisfying. The hummus especially was really well made, the DIY salad bar had tons of choices. The also gave us a complimentary bowl of pita chips that were actually really quite tasty.
Who would have thought you would find an amazing Mediterranean restaurant in Costa Rica? This place is a gem with pretty much all the staples of Mediterranean cuisine. Lots of vegetarian options as well. Portion sizes were generously large and everything tasted delicious. Several sauce options as well. Even though it's mostly self service, the staff was always available and helpful. They were constantly refilling the salad bar to make sure the freshest veggies were stocked.
Fantastic place if you like pita sandwiches, hummus, shawarma, etc. The sandwiches are topped off at a self-serve fresh salad bar with lots of choices. Portions are hearty - mine provided a meal and a snack. The covered patio completely shades the intense midday sun. Staff were very friendly. Highly recommend.
