This was our first restaurant we ate at after arriving to Costa Rica. A week later before leaving back home we went back. Food was so delicious and fresh. Tasty coffee everything was yummy.
Loved this little soda! The family was so nice and gave us extra food, the food was absolutely delicious, and we had a great time. We had the chifrijo and the casado and it was amazing!
I ordered the beef soup - the portion was hugeee. Granted I'm a girl but still, it was a lot of food and amazing. I had a big travel day and this meal felt incredibly nourishing :) The tamarind drink and Cafe con leche also did not disappoint. The staff was very friendly and at one point offered me more caldo / brother for the soup which I didnt think I needed but did appreciate.
I had one of the best meals of my life here last night. We came in, a nice and small restaurant with very cool decorations. The server, Esmeralda, was absolutely lovely. We ordered traditional plates, mine with fish and my friend with braised rib. We also ordered the sour guava and blackberry juices. The drinks were fantastic. Before our meals came out, she brought out fresh corn tortillas with black beans and an avocado slice on each, with a big mason jar of their homemade spicy pickled veggies (carrots, onions, and cucumbers). We were tearing up with how good they were. So simple yet so effective. Then our meals came. Big and generous portions of rice, beans, meat, salad, sweet plantains, avocado, and salad. Everything, and I truly mean everything, was phenomenal. All we could say during the whole meal was how incredible it was. She even refilled our drinks and gave me an extra slice of avocado, on top of two fresh corn tortillas. We were so stuffed that my friend had to take half her meal to go. We finished our meals off with two fresh scoops of strawberry ice cream, with chunks of actual strawberries in them. And everything was fairly priced. We can’t say enough nice things about this place. If you’re in the area visiting, I highly recommend eating here. Thank you for the fantastic experience!
We had a delicious brunch! The atmosphere is so nice with murals on the walls, vintage electronics decor, and open air dining room. Coffee and food was delicious, especially the homemade salsa. We walked here but they do have plenty of parking.
