My brother and I came here for the Thursday night, 6:30-9pm all you can eat sushi. We were not guests at the hotel, but rather came down from one of the surrounding hills. Not that we are sushi experts, but we have eaten a lot of sushi in many places. And while it was not particularly horrible, there was nothing notable about it. My brother and I who can usually eat 6-7 rolls at our favorite place north of Atlanta lost our appetite after 3.5/4.5 rolls. There was far too much rice. I would say the rolls were probably 60% rice. The nigiri that was an option smelled and tasted like a fishy fish. Despite the fact that the ocean is literally right there. And the miso soup had a little more taste than water with just enough miso paste to make the water, not taste entirely like water. We will be back in Los Sueños. We will not be coming back for sushi here. I had sushi from Auto Mercado just up the road for boat food. And I’d honestly prefer getting sushi there. The staff were kind though! And the atmosphere was impeccable. The food simply sucked. Even if a restaurant has those two things going for them, the food does make quite the difference in how you view the place.
