A hidden gem around the corner from the ferry but you wouldn't know it, it was situated in a small mostly local village. We enjoyed our stay here and wish we had planned more time in this area rather than the busy west side of the peninsula. Vibe was chill, the kitsh was perfect, food was quality, free pool table and breakfast, and when the tide is out you can walk around the bay past the mangroves, and have a chat to a local going for a dip in the calm waters. Or sit on the boat jetty listening to the parrots while looking out at the vista of islands and calm blue waters. I hear there's some good boat tours run by the place too.

A priceless stay at this family run hotel. Travis is an extraordinary host. This hotel is right beside a real Costa Rican beach, perfect for those evening strolls, with lots of diifferent private spots to hang in. A private dock and rural. We had a full kitchen, foods great, included breakfast. Staff are all so pleasant. Travis took us on an ace tour on his boat , swimming, to the san lucas island pen. Theres waterfalls or fishing or snorkling. I had a medical need and Travis ran me to a pharmacy and then loaded my bike up to drive me in the heat of the day to the next beach. Wish I'd have had more time. Could've stayed a week. If you have kids. This is the place to stay. Rooms have cold water, n no tv but ohhh so great fans n aircon.

Travis was wonderful—so kind and welcoming. Getting there is definitely an adventure, as we had to take a ferry from Puntarenas, but it added to the overall experience. After a long stretch of not-so-great meals in Costa Rica, we were especially happy to finally have a really good dinner. Breakfast was amazing as well. That said, my family and I do value strong air conditioning, and the unit in our room felt a bit weak. The beds also weren’t as comfortable as we would have liked. Overall, we had a very nice experience, and the staff was truly lovely.

We knew this would be a fun location and didn't disappoint. The place is full of pirate props and cleverly themed. The room was fabulous, the host a lot of fun and the food really good, including the breakfast. We were catching the ferry next morning, so ideal for that, just 500m or so. The beach not the most picturesque but the bioluminescence after dark really cool to see, each time you disturb the water. What a great stay!

What an unforgettable and truly one-of-a-kind stay! The food was incredible, and every corner of the property felt like a work of art. Our tour with Captain Travis was hands down the best I’ve ever experienced. It’s very family-friendly and the perfect spot for anyone looking for an authentic, off-the-beaten-path Costa Rica adventure (which, in my opinion, is the best kind!). All the fun was had, we can’t wait to go back! Highly recommend! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
