During our first night in Puerto Viejo, we stumbled across this restaurant while looking for a beachside dinner. Everything from start to finish was incredible. All the food we ordered the appetizers and mains were incredible and the best Caribbean latin food we’ve ever had. The staff was incredibly kind and gracious, even while we requested to test out our spanish on them. Our waiter Andres made the experience wonderful for us! When you visit please do request to be seated with him!
What a great place! From the outside this restaurant already looks like a place where you want to eat. Once inside you won’t be disappointed: the staff is very friendly and make you feel comfortable. We had the ceviche and the tuna steak and it was really perfect. Prices are higher than average in Puerto Viejo, but it’s worth every dime!
Had an epic dinner here - walked past the night before and it looked busy so gave it a chance. Drinks menu was the same as next door - don’t know if they copied them or they share bartender, anyway the cocktail was good! Tortillas + guac - very good plantain chips and like the addition of a Tabasco pot Sea bass ceviche - DELIGHTFUL Special Caribbean ribs with mashed potato was superb! Banana in a box desert was banoffee pie taste (which we love) Highly recommend
How do I begin to describe this experience as anything besides other worldly in the best way? From beginning to end, I left deeply impressed and happy for this dinner spot in Puerto Viejo. You can tell the staff take their roles seriously to ensure everyone feels taken care of and they go above and beyond for their hospitality. No issue without a rsvp on Valentine’s day either. The surf and turf dish was godly. Our appetizers were wonderful. We loved the espresso martini and sangria drinks. If you have one night to splurge in Cahuita, I highly recommend giving Koki your time and booking.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Koki Beach – Puerto Viejo, Costa Rica We absolutely loved Koki Beach—an unexpected and excellent dining experience. The food was outstanding, very creative in presentation, and, most importantly, of exceptional quality. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, with beautiful ocean views and a warm, colorful setting. The staff was friendly and extremely attentive—our drinks arrived within minutes, beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. We started with the Vegetarian Tacos Chinos, perfectly crunchy and served with a sweet-and-sour dipping sauce—delicious and unique. My first course was the Grilled Tuna Salad with arugula, complemented by caramelized onions; it was perfectly balanced and fresh. Brian had the special Fish Fillet in Meunière Sauce, served over mashed potatoes—exquisite in flavor and beautifully presented on a leaf. Dessert was the perfect finale: “Banana in a Box” and Chocolate Mousse, both truly outstanding. An unforgettable dining experience—we can’t wait to return!
