Travel down the San Miguel section of the Sarapiquí River on a full day of whitewater rafting. Depart from La Fortuna and drive to the river where you will embark on an 11-mile (18 kilometer) journey through the water. As you make your way to the river, your local guide will provide you with interesting information about the landscape and the region. Once at the river, a certified guide will give a thorough briefing, including paddling commands and safety instructions. Then the real adventure begins! It is high action, high adventure, and pure concentration. You will be put to the ultimate test on this unforgettable adventure through class III and IV rapids. About halfway through the tour, stop along the riverbanks for a colorful buffet of fresh tropical fruit, before completing the final section of these exciting and technical rapids. Then, after completing this extreme adventure, you will have earned the delicious hot lunch that will be waiting for you in a riverside restaurant.
