Restaurante y Cabinas Mata Limón is one of those places that feels simple from the outside but completely surprises you once the food arrives. The seafood here was honestly incredible, especially the huge lobster platter which looked almost ridiculous when they brought it to the table. Everything tasted fresh, well seasoned, and homemade instead of overly fancy or artificial. The portions are massive, the atmosphere feels very local and relaxed, and the staff treated us really well the entire time. If you are driving through the area or heading around the Pacific coast, this is absolutely worth stopping for, especially if you love seafood and want a more authentic Costa Rican roadside experience instead of a tourist trap.
I went to the restorant wich is located step sand, no alcoholic beverage, I try shrimprice, it was good, in the average by this route,
We needed a safe & clean stopover, coming from the beaches of the Nicoya Península, & the ferry, before continuing on to the next adventure, and this was perfect!! Lively during the day, as the rooms are part of the courtyard of the amazing seafood restaurant, but super quiet at night. The seafood at this place had us in awe lol, but the prices are great, like it's a local secret. Secure parking, 24 hr guard+ cameras.
