Enjoy one of the folklore events known as Feria de la Mascarada (National Fair Masquerade) in the small town of Barva.  Located just outside the city of Heredia on Highway 126.  The annual tradition of the town since 2002, the ladies of the area make the masquerade pieces which are used in the event and are dawned by the locals in a performance type of folklore.  The local park near the town center will be crowded with onlookers, have plenty of food for those attending and will be a photo-op for this local festival.  The festival is attended by adults and children of all ages.
