There are many reasons to return to Santa Teresa, but this Jerk Tuna is the only one that matters right now. I’m struggling to keep eating it not because it isn’t one of the best bites of food I’ve had here, but because I don’t want it to end! Every bite is delightful—laugh out loud at the whimsy of how good a seared piece of Tuna loin can be. I didn’t know tuna had a loin, but I suppose it’s just like any other animal. Come to Convivio! Come on a Wednesday night, it’s quiet and the service is on point, the music makes me feel alive, the cocktail is balanced. Five stars, [because someone somewhere decided that the number 5 was peak accomplishment? Imagine if we rated restaurants using the belt system from karate!?! This is a double brown belt restaurant!! [[does brown come after black?]]]
Insanely good food for the price. It’s fine dining service and quality for $50 dollars, which may be steep for some but this would be a $200 meal in another city. Also insanely good service, the first time I came here with a large group of 15+ they were on top of accommodating everyone’s dietary restrictions and were extremely friendly and caring.
This is the best restaurant in Santa Teresa. Very clean and luxurious, cool vibe, amazing food, excellent service and the best owners. Highly recommended!
Had an absolutely incredible experience at Convivo. Must get the tasting menu where the chef curates a series of dishes for the table. We had: the dorado (no pic), jerk tuna, ceviche, pumpkin + coconut curry sauce, octopus + beans, grilled chicken. We paired it with a bottle of orange wine. Overall, it was one of the best meals I’ve ever had. The staff and owner’s were all extremely friendly, and they were able to accommodate our dietary restrictions (GF + lactose free). An absolute must when visiting Santa Teresa. Only open during dry season (I believe)
