Description
The night tour in Puerto Jimenez offers you a unique opportunity to explore the incredible biodiversity of the Osa Peninsula after sunset. With the help of flashlights and the knowledge of our local guides, you will discover a whole new world that comes to life in the dark. The jungle transforms at night and you will hear mysterious sounds while observing animals that are not usually seen during the day. We will meet at 5:30 pm at the Corcovado Wild Tours office in Puerto Jiménez. At 5:45 pm, we will depart by car to the trailhead, located just 15 minutes away. The guided hike will take place from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, traversing trails surrounded by tropical rainforest. We will return to Puerto Jiménez at approximately 8:15 pm. During the experience, you will be able to observe a wide variety of nocturnal species such as colorful frogs, owls, snakes, kinkajous, insects, bats, tarantulas, and, with luck, anteaters and sloths that are active at night.
