My husband and I recently stayed at Sangregado Lodge, and it was truly an exceptional experience. If you are looking for tranquility, this is the perfect place. The lodge is completely immersed in nature, and being surrounded by the local wildlife made our stay incredibly special. A major highlight of our trip was the outstanding customer service. Fernando and Corina at the front desk were absolutely excellent—always welcoming, genuinely kind, and constantly smiling and ready to assist us with anything we needed. As for the dining experience, the breakfast served at Blue Hibiscus was somewhat simple, but it was completely complemented by the spectacular, breathtaking views of the volcano. Overall, we had a flawless stay. We absolutely loved everything about this place and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area!
This was a perfect base camp for our adventures. Directly across the parking lot from the Hanging Bridges made it an easy 1st stop for the day. The complimentary breakfast next door at the Lost Iguana was very nice. We had dinner there one night and take out as well. The location to the Arenal Observatory, Tabacon Hot Springs, and the SKy Adventures was perfect. The rooms super clean, with a great view, and the staff very friendly. Highy recommend.
Beautiful views , comfortable clean rooms. Nice staff. We were there for 4 nights and stayed in two different rooms. The first night we stayed in a family room with a kitchen too. It was nice but i highly recommend staying facing the volcano. Most of the rooms face it and the view is beautiful. Waking up to the sounds of the jungle was amazing. Heads up that there is no food on the property and the included breakfast is at another hotel a short drive away.
Just wonderful! The staff is super friendly and welcoming. This lodge is at such a perfect location, super close to all the nearby attractions including the hanging bridges and a delicious restaurant, but also it is in a very peaceful spot with marvelous views. This is a perfect place to reconnect with nature, as lush landscapes surround you at all times but also there are plenty of cute little animals roaming around, like coatis. It's the perfect spot to disconnect from life's stresses, while also offering you all the comfort you need for a pleasant stay. The accommodations my family and I stayed in even had a dishwasher, which is a rarity in Costa Rica! Definitely recommend this spot and I can't wait to be lucky enough to return.
We just spent 4 nights at Sangregado and it was absolutely perfect. It's directly opposite the Mistico Hanging Bridges inside the national park. I'd say that you really need a car if you're staying here as it is remote (around 25 minutes to La Fortuna and at least 10 to the nearest restaurants. The Lost Iguana resort is a short drive away (around 800m but not really walkable) and their Blue Hibiscus restaurant provides the incredible breakfast included with your stay at Sangregado. The staff at the Lodge are so friendly and helpful - I can't praise them enough. We booked a night walk with their guide on the trails around the lodge, which was fantastic. Thank you to everyone here who made our stay so enjoyable ❤️
