Marala Hotel
Costa Rica
Beoordelingen
We stayed at the Marala Hotel for the last two nights of our Costa Rica vacation, and our only regret is that we didn’t book a longer stay. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel incredibly welcome. I honestly don’t think I’ve ever been treated so kindly at a hotel—it felt more like staying with distant family than at a resort. Everyone was extremely helpful in recommending local beaches, activities, and excursions, which made our time in the area even more enjoyable. The restaurant served delicious food, and breakfast was included each morning. I especially appreciated that breakfast was made to order rather than buffet-style—it was a thoughtful touch that added to the overall experience. Our room overlooked the ocean and had such a peaceful, tranquil atmosphere. One of the highlights of our stay was watching monkeys visit our balcony! My 11-year-old son absolutely loved seeing the monkeys up close, and it became one of his favorite memories from our trip. The property is surrounded by mango and coconut trees, creating a beautiful tropical setting that made us feel immersed in nature throughout our stay. We also felt very safe during our visit. The hotel had a security guard on duty throughout the night, which provided extra peace of mind and allowed us to fully relax and enjoy our vacation. The hotel is truly unique and unlike the more commercial properties in the area. If you’re looking for a relaxing, authentic, and peaceful getaway, I highly recommend staying here. We will definitely be back to stay here again on our next trip to Costa Rica.
Beautiful hotel, clean and comfy beds, even better food. Did not find the spa experience advertised so we hired our own masseuse to come to us. Front desk leaves a lot to be desired, after Tina (thank you for checking us in early!) is gone there is no one to answer the phone for the rest of the afternoon/night. Security guard Roger made up for all the missing hospitality, he's the glue that holds this place together, literally. Roger wears many hats at night that he can't be everywhere at once. Please give this man a raise, he was our concierge and kitchen help when it was lacking most of the time. Front desk is unmanned 90% of the time so be ready to check yourself out, we hope the room charges are accurate when we get home. This place has potential of being 5-star if fully staffed.
We stayed two nights at Marala in the middle of our nine day trip around Costa Rica. Great amenities, and the staff was helpful and attentive. We wanted a place to relax and unwind and this was perfect. Please be aware it is secluded but easily accessible. There is some road noise but was not detrimental to our stay. The infinity pool has an amazing view and the music wasn’t too loud or overbearing and the pool area and restaurant close at 10pm.
Beautiful hotel with lovely service ❤️ The rooms were pretty and clean, shower was good, cocktails were delicious, and people were super helpful every single time we needed something 🙏🏻 The only downside is the location, we didn’t have a car so it’s tricky to get to and move around, also the beach/supermarkets etc are a bit far by walking if it’s hot outside. With a car, surely none of this is a problem at all! Thank you again for a lovely stay ❤️
The views from the pool and restaurant areas were incredible! Clean room with great A/C, and even monkeys right outside the window. The service was impeccable. The hotel manager, Tina, was incredibly friendly and helpful. All the staff was great, especially Bryan, Jefferson, and Ary. They all made our stay everything we could ask for, thank you all so much! I would recommend Marala to anyone and everyone visiting the area. It was a great way to start off our honeymoon.
