Wow, what can I say about this spectacular hotel! The view from our balcony was phenomenal, the room was immaculate, and the beach access made it so much easier with littles. Breakfast was great, too. We did have to go up quite a few flights of stairs- that was not a problem for us, but possibly something to let the hotel know of if you'd like a room not so far up. This place was absolutely impressive.
Amenities are nice and location is amazing. It's right in front of the beach, and you can even walk to Manuel Antonio's National Park. Breakfast is good, but always the same. Rooms are clean, but they feel old: beds, floors and furniture are just outdated. Not even a TV.
We only had interaction with Paula, our server for dinner both nights we were here. She was FANTASTIC! Personable and down to earth with a great sense of humour. Thank you, Paula for making our stay more enjoyable. Be careful of the mafia de la playa!
We had a wonderful stay here with a gorgeous view of the ocean. We extended our stay with a room facing the garden. The staff is friendly and accommodating. Being walking distance to the park and being on the beach were fantastic. We are open water swimmers and enjoyed 5 km of swimming during our stay. The birds, monkeys and tapirs roam the gardens.
This was my second time staying at Hotel Karahe and wow! I couldn’t imagine staying at a different hotel in Aguirre/Quepos. We had a king room on the bottom floor and it was so private and clean with beautiful furnishings and the new patio decks are gorgeous. This place has an amazing garden courtyard that the room overlooks with monkeys, lizards and capybaras and a clean and beautiful pool. The restaurant has such a deliciosa costa rican breakfast and dinner selection. The fact that you can also walk thirty seconds from your room and be at the beach where you can grab a lawn chair or table and get full food and drink service was a dream and the 2 for 1 happy hour from 1-6pm really made everything affordable and fun! I can’t underline how amazing the restaurant, reception and beach staff were. Super friendly and kind and so attentive. I can’t wait to bring friends and family back here to share such a lovely experience with them.
