This hotel was part of a package we booked to visit Costa Rica. It is more of a resort with individual cabins and places to stay. The cabins are a single room containing a loveseat, bed and kitchen with the only other room being a bathroom with a door. Also, in the main section of the unit is a 2 person tub with a waterfall fill. Think rustic studio apartment. I see this more as a romantic getaway, though the kids did enjoy the decor as well. A short walk on the clearly marked trails that are lit takes you to the front office, the natural amenities around you, and the restaurant and bar. You can tell that they try hard to make your experience memorable. One issue with a door that had a mechanical problem and they addressed it immediately. Keep in mind if you want to use the sauna or the spa on site, you need to make reservations for additional cost as they will turn the sauna on for you to use, and the masseuse is offsite and comes when booked.

This was our first night in Costa Rica. After a long day flying, and a fairly long drive from the airport, it was a welcome sight to see our cabin. Our grandkids loved the loft bed, and the fireplace in the living room area was very unique. We loved walking up for the continental breakfast the next morning and seeing all the animals. The views from the breakfast area were beautiful.

The hotel is a very romantic place, with views of the mountains, and a cold climate. The room was very comfortable and I loved the rustic feel. If you're a person who doesn't like the noise of the mountain this place isn't for you as there are a lot of birds singing, cows, and a rooster crowing in the morning nearby. It's very windy at night, but I love that sound and find it relaxing. The staff is very attentive and helpful and the WiFi works well additionally. The hot water will take a minute or two to heat up but it quite comfortable once it does as I showered without any problem. The restaurant is very cozy and has delicious options as well with my favorite being the mint cappuccino. I would have it every day if I could. The breakfast was also very tasty with good sized portions. The roads to the hotel are very narrow in places and I would recommend a 4x4 vehicle with careful driving to get there, but even so, there are also parts of the road that offer some beautiful views. I would definitely return to this place. We had a couples massage there and I was pleased with the experience and atmosphere of the spa area as it was very nice and relaxing.

Very rural location which is perfect for getting away from noise and busy streets. The roads can be narrow at times so just use your best judgement, not a big deal. Relaxing and laid back atmosphere overall. I will likely be returning.

Amazing place hidden in the mountains, great local experience. We stayed in the glamping tent and the quality of the place was great. The small fireplace installed in the room made the experience ever better. Warning for light sleepers: as the place is high up in the mountain, it can get quite noisy at night with the wind. They also have a restaurant where you can have dinner and breakfast, food was overall good and good service! Special mention for all the animals you can meet there
