This is a beautiful place. I loved the set up. Everything about this place was a 5 star until the cleaning people came and stole cash out of my bag. The safe in the room wasn't working. We stepped away for an hour to the spa and when we returned the money was gone. I travel a lot and this has never been an issue. I reported it to the staff and they basically said there was nothing they could do and that this never happened before. A manager never came by to speak with us or investigate. Nothing was done. I love this place but would not be back. Anyone traveling please secure your money and valuables.

My family and I just had the best stay at Casa Del Rio! The rooms, amenities and grounds are great. The staff is exceptional! Ramses went above and beyond to assist every time. A must stay if La Fortuna……and a great view of the volcano! We will be back!

This is a GREAT HOTEL!! It’s not far from downtown, you don’t need to go down a long windy off road path, the service is outstanding, the organization/operations are top notch, and the hotel amenities are awesome! There’s a basketball court, pickleball, and general workout space. And if you wanna chill out there’s a spa, and pools/jacuzzi! Absolute beauty of a place to stay at!

Amazing, beautiful hotel set in gorgeous surroundings. So much to do onsite & the hotel restaurant is to die for, the best meal I had on my 3 weeks vacation around Costa Rica! the staff were great, friendly & attentive & the room was just perfect. A definite must 🤩❤️ the room key never worked which was a tad annoying but gorgeous nonetheless

My friend and I stayed for two nights in February and had a great experience, despite the rainy weather. Everything looked as advertised. The included breakfast offered a selection of pastries, American and Costa Rican options with additional add-ons, along with coffee and juice, exactly what you would expect. While the design of the rooms aren’t necessarily my personal favorite, it was accurately represented online, which we appreciated. We had read previous reviews mentioning bugs, but we didn’t experience any issues ourselves. It’s also worth noting that the hotel is surrounded by real lush jungle greenery on a mountain, so it would have been more surprising not to encounter anything in such a natural setting. The staff were very welcoming, and we were pleasantly surprised by how large the property is. It feels more like a jungle resort than just a hotel. The highlight for us was the outdoor tub on our balcony. Ours was partially covered, which was perfect in the rain. We simply opened a bottle of champagne and enjoyed our own private hot tub experience. We didn’t have dinner on-site, so we can’t comment on that. However, getting transportation to town is really easy and the property is very secure/gated if you’re driving. Overall, the staff were lovely, the room was as photographed, the property felt secure and private, and we had a great stay. All the best to the team :)
