Zoo Avenue is one of the many animal rescue points in Costa Rica and centrally located in San Jose. An educational process that will interest all ages, they provide a look at the process and habitation for animals that have been hurt in some way and need specialized treatment. Colorful birds, monkeys and iguanas are just a few of the animals seen inside Zoo Avenue. The fee for tourists is $20.00 for adults and reduced fee for children. All proceeds are used to support the facility and staff for further conservation of any of the animals in the rescue center. The facility is opened daily from 9AM to 5PM.
