Description
Experience an exciting 5-hour adventure that combines white-water tubing, authentic Costa Rican cuisine, and relaxation in natural volcanic hot springs at the foot of the Rincon de la Vieja Volcano.
Your journey begins with approximately 2.5 hours dedicated to the Rio Negro Tubing Adventure, including transportation, safety briefing, equipment fitting, and the river descent itself. Enjoy non-stop excitement as you bounce and splash through 5 km (3 miles) of Class II and III rapids on the crystal-clear Rio Negro (Black River). Along the way, calmer pools provide opportunities to relax and take in the stunning scenery of the tropical dry forest. Specially designed individual river tubes feature handles and protective bottoms for added comfort and safety, while experienced guides accompany you throughout the adventure.
After your tubing experience, enjoy a delicious buffet lunch at Rancho Don Elias Restaurant, featuring a variety of local food.
The adventure concludes with time to unwind at Rio Negro Hot Springs. Surrounded by lush tropical forest, these mineral-rich thermal pools are naturally heated by the Rincon de la Vieja Volcano, the largest and most active volcano in Guanacaste. Enhance your experience with a traditional volcanic mud treatment, known for its cleansing and rejuvenating properties, before relaxing in the soothing thermal waters.

Tips
Important Information
- You must wear closed-toe shoes or water shoes are mandatory for the tubing adventure for safety reasons.
Each participant uses their own individual river tube, designed with handles for personal safety. Children must meet the minimum age (8 years old) and height (1.40 m) requirements to participate on their own tube.
Swimming ability is not required. All participants must wear a life jacket, and certified guides accompany the tour at all time.
