Description

At the scheduled time, we’ll pick you up at your hotel or at the agreed-upon meeting point to begin this experience filled with culture, nature, and tradition. We’ll head to an indigenous reserve, where you’ll have the opportunity to spend time with a local indigenous family. During the visit, you’ll learn more about their culture, stories, and traditions as you explore some of their most iconic sites, such as the frog pond and the traditional conical house. One of the most special moments will be learning how chocolate is made using completely traditional methods. You’ll be able to participate in the process and, at the end, taste the artisanal chocolate. After this cultural experience, we’ll continue by bus to a beautiful waterfall, where you can relax, enjoy the natural surroundings, and take a refreshing dip in its crystal-clear waters. At the end of the tour, we’ll return by bus to your hotel or the agreed-upon meeting point, taking with you an authentic experience that combines indigenous culture, nature, and tradition.

Excludes

Gratuity Crafts Transportation has an additional cost if the driver must pick you up between Playa Chiquita to Manzanillo and Cahuita, you can also arrive on your own to the meeting point that you will be informed at the time of booking, as it will depend on where you are located.

Important Information

  • This tour takes place rain or shine. If weather conditions are unfavorable, we can cancel the activity and issue the participant a full refund. To reach the waterfall, you’ll need to hike a trail that involves a descent and then an ascent, but it’s not a difficult hike. At a leisurely pace and by following the guide’s instructions, you’ll have no trouble completing it. There is an additional charge for transportation if you need the driver to pick you up at a location between Playa Chiquita, Manzanillo, or Cahuita. You also have the option of making your own way to the meeting point, which we will provide when you make your reservation. This location will depend on where you are staying.
