Description
Start your day with a hotel pick-up in La Fortuna or meet at the operator’s office before traveling one hour by air-conditioned bus to the Sarapiqui River.
Upon arrival, you will don safety gear including a lifejacket, helmet, and paddle. A bilingual, certified guide with at least five years of experience will provide a full safety briefing and conduct a practice session.
Begin your two-hour rafting journey covering 10 kilometers and navigating approximately 25 rapids. Along the route, take breaks to enjoy seasonal fruit and rest by the riverbank.
An optional stop allows you to safely jump from a cliff into the river, with guides providing instructions and ensuring precautions are followed.
Throughout the tour, observe diverse wildlife and dense tropical vegetation. The river’s clear water is ideal for swimming during breaks.
The tour ends with transportation waiting at the take-out point, where you can refresh with water, towels, tropical fruit, Costa Rican snacks, and coffee. Afterward, return to your hotel in La Fortuna.
