Description
After a short drive from La Fortuna to the river dock, your bilingual guide will lead a slow, quiet two-hour float along the Peñas Blancas River. This peaceful approach increases the chance to observe nocturnal animals such as long-nosed bats, monkeys, caimans, iguanas, birds, and owls that inhabit the riverbanks.
The guide will share insights about the local environment and history as you float past family-owned farms. At the end of the tour, visit a local farm where you can enjoy coffee, bread, plantains, cheese, and other traditional dishes prepared by a local family.
After returning to the dock, transportation is provided back to your La Fortuna area hotel.
