Description
Discover the vibrant wilderness of Costa Rica on a thrilling kayaking tour down the Penas Blancas River. Your adventure begins with a convenient hotel pickup in La Fortuna and a transfer to the peaceful town of La Perla. Whether paddling solo or in pairs, you will glide at a relaxed pace, fully immersed in the native flora and fauna while leaving the crowds behind.
What sets this experience apart is the extended float distance and exclusive access to a private take-out point. While the price may be slightly higher than other tours, the added time on the river and the peaceful, crowd-free finish offer excellent value.
Upon arrival, you will receive a quick safety briefing from certified instructors before setting off. As you paddle along the gentle current, your guide will share insights about the rich wildlife including howler and capuchin monkeys, sloths, birds, caimans, iguanas, and more.
Take breaks to capture memorable photos and spot shy animals in the trees. Refresh with local beers and fresh fruit at the end of your journey. Please note that previous kayaking experience is required. For safety reasons, if weather or river conditions are not suitable, the trip will be completed on a raft, which the guide can control more easily. This is more than a kayaking tour it is a serene exploration of Costa Rica’s natural wonders.
