Description

The Night Jungle Walk takes place on a private property with over 60,000 square meters of untouched forest in the Peñas Blancas area, known mainly for cattle ranches and farmland. This location offers an authentic rainforest experience away from resort grounds and landscaped hotel trails common in the region.

As darkness falls, the forest awakens with nocturnal activity. Guests, accompanied by ICT-certified naturalist guides, follow moderate trails to observe amphibians, reptiles, insects, and other creatures active at night.

Common sightings include red-eyed tree frogs, glass frogs, leaf-camouflaged snakes, insects, spiders, and occasionally nocturnal mammals such as two-toed sloths, bats, owls, or anteaters. Wildlife appearances vary nightly and cannot be guaranteed.

Guides use low-intensity lighting to observe animals respectfully without disturbing their natural behavior, preserving the nighttime environment.

The tour caters to travelers who appreciate nature’s unpredictability, patience, and subtle nocturnal sounds. Group sizes are limited to eight guests per guide, ensuring personalized attention and a safe, informative experience.

Tours depart daily at 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. Guests receive the exact Google Maps location upon booking. On-site parking is available.

This is an exploration of a natural ecosystem, not a guaranteed wildlife viewing adventure.
