Description
The tour begins at a tropical garden featuring over 45 stingless bee hives, as well as a variety of ornamental and medicinal plants. You will observe diverse species of hummingbirds, birds, butterflies, and other pollinating insects.
Visitors will explore the meliponarium to find Costa Rica's native bees and learn about their evolutionary history and vital role in tropical ecosystems. The guide explains how these bees produce honey and its significance for humans. At each hive, you will taste exotic monofloral and multifloral honeys unique to Costa Rica.
The experience also includes learning about different medicinal plants and their benefits. You will apply a natural mask made from honey and 100% organic products to complete the sensory journey.
