The itinerary includes boat transportation between Drake Bay and Sirena Biological Station, an ICT certified bilingual guide, entrance fees, accommodations, and meals (lunch and dinner on day one, breakfast and lunch on day two), with all bedding provided.

Day 1

  • 6:00 am: One and a half hour boat ride to Sirena Biological Station.
  • 7:45 am: Arrival at Sirena beach, prepare for a 3 to 4 hour hike after dropping off overnight bags at the ranger station.
  • 11:30 am: Half hour lunch break along the trail, followed by hiking back to the ranger station.
  • 12:30 pm: Two hour rest period to avoid the hottest sun hours.
  • 2:30 pm: Afternoon hike lasting 2.5 hours to the Claro River, including a short swim, then return to the ranger station.
  • 5:30 pm: Dinner at the ranger station, with lights out at 8:00 pm.

Day 2

  • 5:30 am: Early morning forest hike until 7:00 am.
  • 7:45 am: Breakfast at the ranger station.
  • 9:00 am: Three hour forest hike, then return to pack and prepare for departure.
  • 12:30 pm: Boat trip back to Drake Bay, arriving around 1:30 pm for lunch.
