Description

Las Catalinas Islands offer over a dozen prime snorkeling sites with abundant marine biodiversity year-round. Participants snorkel under the supervision of a professional guide to ensure safety and enhance the experience.

Guests can arrange pick-up from locations between Tamarindo and Flamingo or drive directly to the activity center by 7:30am. After check-in, a 30-minute scenic boat ride transfers you to the islands.

The excursion includes two snorkeling sessions in warm waters, where you may see Giant Pacific Manta Rays, White Tip Reef Sharks, Eagle Rays, schools of Jacks and Grunts, Moray Eels, and other marine species. Manta Rays are frequently observed from December through May. Humpback Whales appear seasonally between February and March and again from July to October, sometimes breaching near snorkeling sites.

The tour accommodates snorkelers from Tamarindo, Reserva Conchal, Brasilito, Playa Flamingo, Surf Side, Potrero, and Las Catalinas Resort. Shuttle options or private pick-ups can be arranged for those not driving.

After two snorkeling dives, the boat returns to the marina around 1pm, giving you ample time to continue exploring or relaxing in the afternoon.
