Welcome and Context:
Your experience begins with a warm welcome and a coffee drink from the property. You'll learn about the history of coffee in Costa Rica and how this region became one of the most important in the country thanks to its altitude, volcanic soils, and ideal microclimates.
Tour of the Coffee Plantation:
We will take a guided walk among the coffee plants where you can observe the different stages of cultivation. We'll explain the varieties planted on the farm, the importance of natural shade, sustainable soil management, and the impact of climate on flavor.
Post-harvest process:
You'll discover how coffee goes from being a red cherry to becoming the green bean that will later be roasted. We'll explain the main processing methods – washed, honey, and natural – and how each one influences the final flavor profile.
Artisanal Roasting:
You will see a roasting demonstration and learn how small changes in time and temperature completely transform the character of the coffee. We'll compare different roasting levels and their influence on aroma, body, and acidity.
Professional Guided Tasting:
