Description
The tour starts in Sierpe, where you board a boat to navigate the Térraba-Sierpe Wetland, Central America’s largest wetland, for approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes. You arrive at San Pedrillo Station in Corcovado National Park, which covers habitats from coastal wetlands to humid and cloud forests. Recognized by National Geographic for exceptional biodiversity, the park hosts 2.5% of the world’s species.
Once inside the park, enjoy guided hikes, observe local flora and fauna, visit waterfalls, and have a picnic-style lunch. There is free time to relax on the beach before returning to Sierpe by late afternoon.
Itinerary
- 7:15 AM – Arrive at Sierpe wharf and board the boat
- 7:30 AM – Depart on boat through the Térraba-Sierpe Wetland toward Corcovado National Park
- 8:45 AM – Arrive at park entrance; begin guided hikes
- 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM – Picnic-style lunch
- 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM – Hike to the waterfall
- 3:00 PM – Conclude the tour and start return to Sierpe
