Welcome to Paz Medicinal Garden, a sacred space nestled in the lush tropics of La Fortuna. Join Edy, an indigenous plant medicine specialist, and Bridie, a traditional herbalist, for a soulful journey into the world of medicinal plants and ancestral wisdom. This two-hour guided tour is more than an educational walk. It’s a chance to slow down, connect with the land, and experience the plants as living beings with stories, spirit, and medicine to share. Paz Medicinal Garden is a living library of tropical herbs, healing plants, roots, and seasonal crops. Each leaf, stem and flower is part of a deeper conversation between land, lineage, and healing tradition. As you walk, learn how local and indigenous communities have long worked with these plants to support the body, mind, and spirit. Move intuitively, allowing space to touch, smell, and harvest with your hands. Depending on the season, gather cacao, loofah, turmeric, or sacred leaves used in traditional remedies and ceremonies. Pause along the way to enjoy fresh herbal tea made from the garden, a cup full of flavor, warmth, and plant magic. Alongside it, taste seasonal tropical fruits, savoring the richness of Costa Rica’s land and abundance. Take a few moments of connection in the bamboo ranchito to visit Edy & Bridie's local art collection. A perfect opportunity to take home hand crafted souvenirs for yourself and your loved ones. Collection includes indigenous wood carvings and masks, copper and bronze wire wrapped jewelry along with a variety of semi precious stones, herbal teas, purification bundles and other garden goodies.
