Description
This unique experience at our family farm in Liberia, Guanacaste, invites visitors to actively contribute to environmental conservation while enjoying Costa Rica’s natural beauty and traditions. Designed as a meaningful and educational activity, the tour allows participants to plant a native tree as part of our ongoing reforestation program, helping mitigate the annual CO₂ footprint through hands-on action.
Upon arrival at the farm, guests are welcomed and introduced to the project, learning about the importance of reforestation in tropical dry forests and how each tree planted contributes to carbon capture, biodiversity protection, and long-term ecosystem health. Participants then take part in planting their own tree, which will receive ongoing care as part of the farm’s annual reforestation efforts.
After the planting activity, the experience continues with a scenic walk to a nearby viewpoint, offering peaceful surroundings and beautiful sunset views over the Guanacaste landscape. This moment provides time to connect with nature, reflect on the impact of the activity, and enjoy the calm of the countryside.
The tour concludes back at the main house, where guests enjoy a traditional Costa Rican meal prepared over a wood fire, highlighting local flavors and cooking techniques passed down through generations. This shared meal creates a warm and authentic ending to the experience.
