Description
This PADI program is designed for beginners who want to try diving without committing to full certification. Experienced instructors prioritize safety and personalized attention by keeping groups small.
The day starts at 6:00am at the dive shop in Tamarindo. After a short theory introduction and gearing up in the pool, you will practice basic exercises to build confidence underwater. Then, a 40-minute boat ride takes you to Catalinas Islands, where you will complete two guided dives at a maximum depth of 12 meters (40 feet). The tour concludes around 12:30pm.
The Catalinas Islands archipelago offers around 20 dive spots suitable for all levels. Marine life includes reef sharks, various rays (manta rays are most commonly seen from January to March), turtles, fish, octopuses, and nudibranchs.

Booking Tips
Reserve your spot early, especially between January and March for a greater chance to see manta rays. Bring your swimsuit, sunscreen, a towel, and any required personal items. Confirm transportation options if staying outside Tamarindo.
