We spent four nights at Nayara Gardens and can absolutely understand why it is considered one of the best resorts in Costa Rica. The level of service is exceptional. Housekeeping comes several times a day, laundry service and the minibar are complimentary, and our plunge pool could even be heated to our preferred temperature. The property is extensive, but if you don’t feel like walking, golf carts are available within minutes to take you anywhere. It is probably the most luxurious resort we have ever stayed at. Despite being fully booked, the resort never felt crowded. We always found space at the pool and the hot springs, and the complimentary morning yoga classes were a wonderful way to start the day. The breakfast was outstanding. A special thank you goes to William, one of the restaurant managers. We hadn’t realized that dinner reservations should be made well in advance. As we were traveling with children, our choices were already limited, and the remaining times didn’t work for us. William somehow managed to find us a 7:00 p.m. table in an otherwise fully booked restaurant. That kind of flexibility and genuine willingness to help is something we truly appreciate. One piece of advice for future guests: make your dinner reservations as early as possible, ideally before you arrive. Overall, Nayara Gardens delivers outstanding luxury, beautiful surroundings, and remarkably attentive service. If you’re looking for a world-class resort experience, you won’t be disappointed.
We could not have dreamed up a more perfect stay in Costa Rica! The kindest people in the most beautiful setting. The grounds were impeccable. The pools were so clean and each lounge chair was set with towels. The food was complex and delicious. And to top it all off we saw sloths and monkeys and toucans and hummingbirds and so many other tropical birds! Can’t wait to return with our kids!
We came to Nayara Gardens for our honeymoon, and it was nothing short of amazing. From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make us feel special and ensure we had an unforgettable trip. The dining throughout the Nayara properties is incredible. We visited every restaurant on the grounds and can't say enough good things about each one. A special highlight was the wine pairing dinner at Nostalgia Wine Bar—the team there is incredibly kind and knowledgeable, and they made the evening truly memorable. Asia Luna has outstanding sushi, and La Terraza was the perfect place to experience delicious local flavors. The breakfast buffet each morning is also a must! Everyone on staff was attentive, warm, and eager to help. The golf cart service made getting around the properties effortless, and the staff even helped us spot sloths and monkeys during our stay! The grounds are beautifully maintained, and there is so much to do. The pools and hot springs were fabulous, the spa was luxurious, and simply walking around the resort is breathtaking. Mi Cafecito serves excellent coffee, and we loved our room, private plunge pool, and the thoughtful touches like the stocked fridge, local fruit, and snacks. Housekeeping was exceptional and the room refreshes were always appreciated. It was incredibly peaceful and serene, and booking excursions through Nayara was easy for those looking for a little adventure. I highly recommend leaving plenty of time to explore all three Nayara properties and to simply relax and enjoy the beauty around you. Nayara Gardens truly feels like a magical place, and we can't recommend it highly enough. We would return in a heartbeat!
Excellent resort. Room is sparkling clean and has excellent view of the Volcano. Pools are surrounded by rain forest and the privecy is great. The only words I can say about their service are"Five Stars". The only negative things I can say is the road from St. Jose to the hotel is a little bit challenge and the price is a little bit high. As a 5 star and 3 keys Michelin resort, these are worth it. Highly recommend this resort, especially to those couples with special events, such as annuversary or honeymoon.
Beautiful location and wonderful rooms. Our room was very spacious ans rhr balconies overlooked the pools, but were occluded leaving privacy intact. The layout helps to maintain a quiet peaceful vibe and you almost feel like your the only one there. Great stay.
