Welcome to Costa Rica

Welcome to My Guide Costa Rica, the happiest and greenest country on the planet! Costa Rica rests between Panama and Nicaragua on some of the worlds most breathtaking and rich land, separating the crystal blue waters of the Caribbean sea from the sun drenched beaches along the Pacific coast.  While only occupying .03% of the worlds land surface, Costa Rica is home to 5% of the flora and fauna that inhabit earth and more than the United States and Canada combined. Visitors to Costa Rica enjoy magnificent cloud and rainforest, active volcanoes, wildlife,  bird watching, river rafting, offshore fishing, snorkeling and the companionship of the happiest people on the planet.

Each region of Costa Rica is unique, possessing it’s own character, climate, topography, flora and fauna. Corcovado National Park, located on the Osa Peninsula along the south pacific coast, is one of the most biologically intense places on the planet. The beaches of the Nicoya Peninsula and North Pacific vary from busy to seclude and enjoy sunshine nearly 300 days a year. Reggae music and rasta vibes flow along the South Caribbean coast and for those looking for exciting nightlife, amazing cuisine and a touch of culture, San Jose and the Central Valley are awaiting your arrival.

To help you plan and organize your vacation, we have divided Costa Rica's 7 provinces into 10 regions, and provided information on each unique destination. As you locate places you want to visit you can check the map of each profile to see what the area offers in accommodations, restaurants and things to do.  Complete listing of National Parks found here.
