The guys who run coco’s are super awesome and friendly! They really want to make sure you have a great time! They come from a culinary and service industry background, and you can tell by the quality of the drinks. Best pina colada I’ve ever had! Yes the prices seem to be a little high, but you are getting beach side service with true authenticity to ensuring you are happy on your vacation. Will definitely be coming back to say hello to our friends at cocos!
My family and I spent a week walking down the steep dirt road to the loveliest beach in CR, and each day I was greeted by the pleasant, hardworking, young men who run this great pop-up establishment-They rent chairs and canopies and eagerly and efficiently set them up for you, and they make great seaside drinks at a reasonable price (given the location). Their set up is simple and perfect-exactly the low key-high return set up you'd want on a secluded stretch of beach like this. So be sure to grab a few adult beverages and chairs (if you need them ) and some barbecue on the weekends from Coco's. This is exactly the sort of business I like supporting. It blends seamlessly with the atmosphere of this corner of Espadilla beach.
Coco's is awesome. My wife and I visited Manuel Antonio in February and we spent a lot of time up and down Playa Espadilla. We were hungry and the trek back up to the town is quite steep so we gave Coco's a try. We were not disappointed! \both the bartender and cook were friendly and obviously enjoyed what they were doing. We ordered Tuna with sweet potatoes that came with corn and a side of rice. The cook also added some wasabi. We ordered a beer and a pina colada while we waited for the food. The portion was quite large, enough to fill us both. This was quite honestly the best meal we had while we visited the country. It was fresh, the ambiance was amazing. And just what we needed after a long day at the beach. ***The one-star review here is absolute garbage. As a google "local guide" I would expect them to know that just getting colones out at the bank is cheaper than swiping your card.***
I just left Cocos two hours ago after visiting the beach for the first time and I can't recommend them highly enough. Their food and drinks both were dynamite, the service top tier, and the two guys working today couldn't have been any nicer. They helped to turn a great day at the beach into a spectacular day at the beach.
