This is an amazing place to stay while in costa rica, it is a quiet beach, away from big tourist spots, but still close to the touristy hubs. We stayed at the iguana suite, one morning while drinking our coffee we heard a rustling in the trees above. The tree above was a tamarind tree and the nuts were falling like crazy on to our awning. We assumed it was just the wind, untill we were startled by a large object falling onto our roof with a loud thud and rolling off, I assumed it was a branch. I decided to look at the falling object and investigate. After investigating the object that fell, I was face to face with an iguana! I made eye contact with the creature and we scared each other. The iguana ran off toward the pool. I look up at the tamarind tree and see another iguana hanging out in the branches (I think he was the winner of a scuffle). Our stay at the iguana suite was made 10x better because it started raining iguanas.
