My husband and I spent 9 days at Tulemar to celebrate our honeymoon/one year anniversary and we could not be more pleased with how amazing every aspect was. From our concierge, Fabio, who arranged literally every aspect of our trip for us, from food recommendations to booking all of our activities, helping us move when we changed villas and responding in an instant when we needed anything at all! We went in May, which is their rainy season & “off- season” which truly made it better in my experience. Of course there was still plenty to do but the pools were never too packed and we never needed a reservation for the surrounding restaurants so we could play it by ear when and where we wanted to eat every night. We maybe even enjoyed our days we had no plans or excursions the best and got to spend by the beach or the main pool at the cafe (p.s. Juan may be the best bartender in all of Central America). The bartenders/servers at the cafe were all so lovely and friendly and even encouraged me to practice my Spanish! We also loved the private resort beach! They set up chairs for you, you can order food and drinks and they deliver it right to your lounger, such a dream. Lastly, we received the same recommendation from multiple couples we met and it was to try and book Jose Miguel Castillo Arias, a private chef who comes to the resort and oh my goodness was it worth it! He made us the best meal EVER and brought the energy too, he had his speaker set up and danced around our villa kitchen while making us a beautiful 3-course meal. You must book Jose! Overall, everyone at the resort was incredibly friendly and the service was more than we could have ever needed. We love Tulemar!

Our family group of ten stayed at the Tulemar Resort (Casa Quivira) in June 2026. We had an excellent time. The accommodations were outstanding, the service top-notch (thank to concierge, Emiliano), and the views breath-taking. Don't let traveling during the rainy season deter you from visiting in June. Although we did experience rain, there was plenty of sun and lighter crowds. The resort is gorgeous with a wide variety of pools, eating options, and close promixity to the National Park. The private beach is a short-walking distance from the villas and the resort provides shuttles for those unable to tackle the steep incline to and from the beach. The resort is happy to make arrangements for private tours of the Park, dinner reservations, shuttle services to town, and any other excursion a guest might wish to take. We would definitely come again.

We have come to Tulemar Resort for two separate short stays and have thoroughly enjoyed each time plus would plan to stay again. The location/setting of the resort is truly amazing and quite an experience in itself. The staff and service are fantastic and responsive. The rooms we stayed in were slightly different each time and were very nice, with only very minor issues precluding a full 5-star rating--but we were very satisfied with everything and would highly recommend staying here. The main cafe/restaurant was also a great experience. The access to wildlife and cliff-side setting make this a memorable stay--if you are visiting the Manuel Antonio area we highly recommend looking into Tulemar!

Tulemar Resort was the perfect place to celebrate our honeymoon! Everything from the phenomenal service of the staff to the beautiful property itself exceeded our expectations. Our concierge Javier was lovely and made us feel truly taken care of. He even took the time to show us a sloth right outside our villa during check-in! From the shuttle drivers and housekeeping to reception and beach staff, everyone we worked with was just as kind, friendly, and helpful. The massage and personal chef services were also amazing and came right to our villa. The resort being so close to Manuel Antonio national park and local shops and supermarkets made it super easy to get to our park tour and stock up on groceries. We stayed in one of the Bamboo Villas and cannot stop showing pictures to our family. The open-air design such a delight to relax in but still felt private and quiet enough to enjoy ourselves comfortably. The views from the bedroom were incredible, and we got to see scarlet macaws flying right by our balcony. The closeness to nature was amazing - being able to walk around the resort and find monkeys within minutes was magical and one of the highlights of our whole trip. We loved the beach too and wish we had more time to appreciate the great bar/snack service and wonderfully warm ocean. Overall this was easily one of our favorite travel experiences ever and we absolutely plan on coming back with family and friends!

May 2026 was the first time that my family and I have ever visited Costa Rica and we decided to stay at Tulemar for the week. I can't say nothing but positive things about this report. Our agent Fabio was absolutely incredible from start to the last handshake on our way to the airport. He was extremely attentive to us, brought in small treats for the kids to eat and helped set up all of the attractions/events that we went to. I can't thank him enough for everything that he's done for my family and I. The resort was run very well with extremely friendly staff from the cafe, main entrance, cleaning staff and the van drivers. Everything was easily accessible and having the vans to help get the kids up the hill to the main entrance was very helpful. The house that we had 11X had such a beautiful view with big windows showing everything around us. From the rainforest background, the distant hills/mountains and the ocean right in the "backyard". The rooms were taken care of very well and well equipped. During the weeks stay we had the power go out around 920pm for about 30 min or so which I read is common in this area. The pool at the cafe and the jungle pools were clean and great for kids. The jungle pool was a lot of fun with monkeys hanging around in the afternoon, the waterfall that you can sit under and the extra step that kids can stay on to splash/swim around. We even made friends with the pool iguana hanging around us for a few days. Ha. Transportation and walking to local restaurants was easy and the walking wasn't too bad with the cars driving by. The prices for food at the cafe were not too bad and was less than expected. Having the convenience store at the resort entrance was nice and handy. Just keep mind mind that anything imported costs a decent amount more.
