Sylvia! What a gem 💎 We wanted to go horseback riding while on this amazing vacation, But didn't want horses that were simply broken to ride a trail. So, I googled and looked at all the reviews. Her husband met us at the gate and showed us the lovely family of sloths living in their Banyan tree! Then, She brought out the horses and we got to talking...And we never stopped. Her horses are very well loved. Her gear was good and she made sure we had helmets and knew what we were doing. Both of my friends own their own horses and are very experienced. I haven't ridden in 15 years. But, Just like a bike minus my poor posture. 😆 We headed out through the pasture and down to the beach....Costa Rica is a very very beautiful country. This ride was just fun, and we all talked like old friends. She took pictures and video for us. We saw many beautiful birds and just enjoyed the sun and spray! On the way back the horses walked in the water and splashed here and there. It truly was an amazing experience with an accomplished horse woman. Please visit and enjoy 😉 🙏 😊
We had a beautiful ride with happy, healthy, very well trained horses. Sylwia was very kind, friendly, and took into consideration our level of riding experience. Her horses are top notch, look great and are extremely well behaved. A great experience!
My wife and I had an incredible experience at CR Beach Barn! Sylwia is a fantastic guide, for both experienced and inexperienced riders. The horses were beautiful and very well taken care of. We would definitely come back and recommend it to anyone traveling to the area!
We had such a wonderful ride that we booked a second time two days later! The sunset ride was gorgeous but the water is so pretty on the morning ride. Both are great times to go (sunset is probably a bit less sunny/hot). We saw a sloth in the tree on the property and several parrots flying overhead and other birds on the beach. We even drank right from fresh coconuts! Sylwia was very friendly and a great guide and took lots of pictures for us. The horses (and all the animals on the property) are well taken care of and in great body condition. The horses were relaxed and easy to ride, didn't care about dogs barking or anything that could be spooky on the beach. Sylwia really cares about her animals and believes in kind training methods. If you're looking for a wonderful, ethical ride, this is it! (Don't worry about the ear position in the photos, Brownie has resting airplane ears, he was not grumpy or in pain at all!)
Amazing, impressive, and truly unforgettable. We are a family with three school-age daughters, all first-time riders, and we simply loved every moment of this experience. From the surprise encounter with a sloth at the barn (apparently one of three living nearby!) to the breathtaking sunset ride along the beach, everything was pure magic. The horses were gentle, the scenery spectacular, and the entire outing wonderfully organized. A huge thank-you to CR Beach Barn for making this such a special family memory.
