Description

Experience the thrill of white water rafting on the Rio Sarapiqui. Enjoy a fun-filled day with your family and friends and take advantage of the morning for another activity. Begin your adventure with a pick-up from your hotel in La Fortuna or at the local operator's office. Then, drive in a modern and comfortable bus with AC for about one hour to reach the Rio Sarapiqui. Upon reaching the Rio Sarapiqui, get dressed in your gear, including a lifejacket, helmet, and paddle. Listen to a full safety talk to ensure you enjoy a safe experience. Your guides are bilingual, certified, and have a minimum of 5 years of experience. After the safety speech, do a little practice, and start the descent of the rapids with 2 hours to down a section of 10 kilometers with an average of 25 rapids, full of fun waves and big splashes. On the way, stop to enjoy some seasonal fruit like pineapples, watermelons, or mangos, and rest at a nice spot on the river side. As an optional activity, stop at a place where you can jump from a cliff, not too high and deep enough, where the guides will give you tips and secure measures to be safe. During the tour, see a diversity of wildlife, as well as wonderful scenes of dense vegetation and landscapes. The water is clear and the temperature is perfect for swimming. At the end of the tour, the driver waits for you at the take-out point, with the bus, water, and towels. Enjoy tropical fruit, Costa Rican snacks, and coffee, and observe the funny photographs of yourself on the rapids. After enjoying some fruit and Costa Rican snacks, be taken back to your hotel in La Fortuna.
