Description

Dive into the heart of Corcovado National Park with a private day tour to the Sirena Biological Station, a place where biodiversity is truly amazing. The adventure kicks off early, at 5:20 a.m., at the public pier in Puerto Jiménez, where your private nature guide will welcome you. You'll hop on a shared boat with life jackets and cruise along the Golfo Dulce coast until you hit the Pacific Ocean, heading to Sirena. You'll be disembarking right on the beach, no pier, so you'll need to wade through the water to the shore. From there, you'll start a guided hike through primary and secondary rainforest trails, looking for the park's amazing wildlife: tapirs, howler monkeys, white-faced and spider monkeys, macaws, toucans, sloths, colorful frogs, and more. With a private guide, you'll have the freedom to move at your own pace and focus the experience on your interests, whether it's photography, birdwatching, or just enjoying the jungle in peace. Your guide will share fascinating facts about the ecosystems, the park's history, and its conservation efforts. Around 11:30 a.m., you'll enjoy lunch at the station, surrounded by nature. Then you'll head back to the beach to catch the shared boat back to Puerto Jiménez, arriving around 2:30 pm. Hey, make sure to bring some light clothes, hiking shoes, a reusable water bottle, sunscreen, bug repellent, and a waterproof backpack. Don't forget your camera, binoculars, and most importantly, your excitement to marvel at the natural beauty of this hidden paradise.

Important Information

  • Hey, just a heads up! We need the full names and passport numbers of everyone coming with us so we can get the tickets for Corcovado National Park. Don't worry, a copy is fine. - In Corcovado, there's no pier; you'll be disembarking on the beach, and the sand is rocky. We recommend wearing water shoes to safely get in and out of the boat. - You'll have a private guide who'll be with your group the whole time. - You'll share the boat ride, but the hike and park experience are all yours.
