Just 10 kilometers from Quepos, a local family has protected one of the last remaining sections of real rainforest in an area now surrounded by palm plantations. This privately owned reserve has been preserved for generations and gives visitors access to an authentic ecosystem that few people ever get to experience. This is not a zoo or a staged night activity. It is an educational walk through a real rainforest where everything is observed respectfully. Nothing is touched, chased, or fed. The focus is on conservation, interpretation, and quiet observation of natural behavior. Before it becomes fully dark, your guide provides an introduction to the forest, helping visitors understand the natural dynamics of the area and how people lived here long before palm cultivation changed the landscape. Your certified ICT naturalist guide will help you: • Understand how the rainforest comes alive after dark • Learn about nocturnal species such as insects, amphibians, reptiles, and other forest dwellers • Observe wildlife in a safe, low-impact way • Experience the real sounds and atmosphere of the jungle without artificial noise Wildlife sightings vary because this is true rainforest, but that authenticity is an important part of the experience. • Due to limited phone signal in the area, the guide will meet you at a pre-arranged roadside point a few kilometers before the entrance. From there, you will follow the guide to the property to ensure you arrive safely. Exact meeting instructions and GPS coordinates will be provided after booking.
