Description

Embark on an unforgettable diving adventure at Las Catalinas Islands, renowned for some of the best diving in Costa Rica. With over 12 exceptional dive sites, Las Catalinas offers year-round diving opportunities teeming with marine life. Making it ideal for first-timers. For safety and enjoyment, groups are limited to 4 Discover Divers per Instructor. The day begins at 6:40am at the dive center, where you'll start with a brief pool training session guided by your Instructor. Learn essential diving skills before heading to Las Catalinas Islands, just a 30-minute boat ride departing at approximately 8am. Enjoy two dives in the warm, clear waters, where you can encounter Giant Pacific Manta Rays, White Tip Reef Sharks, Eagle Rays, Schooling Jacks & Grunts, Moray Eels and much more. During the winter months from December to May, Manta Rays are frequently spotted, while Humpback Whales grace the waters from February to March and July to October, often delighting divers with their songs. The dive sites are accessible from various popular locations, including Tamarindo, Reserva Conchal, Brasilito, Playa Flamingo, Surf Side, Potrero, and Las Catalinas Resort. If you need assistance reaching the dive center, a shuttle bus is available, or we can arrange a private pick-up. After two exhilarating dives, the boat returns to shore around 1pm, leaving you with the rest of the day to explore or relax. Important Information

• As it may rain for brief periods from May to November we suggest bringing a light rain coat that easily packs into your bag. You may also bring along your own snack and drink items. You do not need to be a strong swimmer to take part in Discover Scuba Diving, but you should feel comfortable in water too deep to stand in.
