Embark on an ATV adventure through the rainforest and rural villages near La Fortuna. Drive through the La Naciente farm, visit the village of La Guaria, and take a break at the Arenal River. Enjoy a snack and a swim in the pool at Rancho La Poza. Start your adventure at the private farm La Naciente, just minutes from La Fortuna downtown. Set off on muddy trails through the primary rainforest, all while enjoying breathtaking views of the majestic Arenal Volcano. Start with a safety briefing and a practice circuit to get comfortable with the ATVs. Then, head out onto the crazy trails of La Naciente, driving through challenging paths surrounded by lush vegetation and local wildlife. Stop at Quebrada Platanillo, a micro-basin of the Arenal River that supplies water to nearby communities. Spot the impressive Watusi bulls, famous for their distinctive horns. Next, visit the picturesque village of La Guaria which keeps the “fortuneños” culture, where you can explore its church and its old local store (pulpería), offering a glimpse into life in rural communities. Continue along open trails, crossing natural puddles, until you reach the Arenal River (depending on the weather conditions), where you can take a break to capture photos and enjoy the scenery. On the way back, stop at Rancho La Poza for a snack and some relaxation in its outdoor pool.
