Ocho Beach Bar in Tamarindo is a gem. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warmth by an outstanding staff. Jimmy, Gio, and Zaya demonstrated impressive knowledge of their cocktail menu and went above and beyond to ensure we had an unforgettable experience. The drinks themselves were excellent—well-crafted, flavorful, and clearly made with attention to detail. Whether you’re a cocktail enthusiast or just looking for a great drink by the beach, this is the place. Highly recommended!
I reserved dinner to celebrate my 60th birthday with a party of 12. I was greeted as soon as we arrived and immediately stated. Gio was our head Walter and greeted us warmly and began taking drink and appertizer orders. We received our request immediately along with any additional needs with complete customer service. Gio was attentive to all of mine and my guests' request. The atomsphere was excellent and the food was superb If you are in the Tamarindo area Ocho is a must and please ask for GIO
Ok, my wife and I are currently on our honeymoon trip and are wrapping up the first part of our stay at Ocho. Next we are headed to La Fortuna. Ocho has surpassed our expectations and then some! I'll start with the staff, who are some of the most friendly, joyful and genuine people I have ever met. Shout-out to Ilse, who reached out before our stay, coordinated a beautiful honeymoon decoration for our room and helped us book a nice massage for our first day. None of our other bookings for our trip have provided this level communication, connection and service. The rooms as well as the property are gorgeous. The photos truely do not do it justice. The food is spectacular, we enjoyed breakfast every day and delicious seafood options for dinner. The chef at Ocho is 🤌. Ones thing we wish we knew before arriving: bring extra cash. We were thinking that most of the experiences/excursions would be able to be paid using cards, then tipping with cash. This was not true and we quickly had to run to the ATM (expensive). Also, reminder that Costa Rica has lots of life! My fiance is allergic to mosquitoes so we used a good amount of bug spray. When the ocean breeze is strong it's not bad, but with less wind we definitely needed to use it. Enjoy your stay!
I came here three days in a row after figuring out this was the beach club. The service was great, the fish tacos life changing, and the sunset views unparalleled. I travelled solo and my items were always safe as I swam in the ocean. Giovanni was super attentive to my needs and made me feel like royalty without having to ask! And all of the happy drinks were EXCELLENT. 6 stars out of 5.
I stayed here for 4 days and it was heaven! The bungalows are beautiful and private. The pool is refreshing. The staff are amazing and it's just steps to the best beach in Tamarindo. Highly recommend this place. Pablo was amazing and so was Jasmine. They both went out of their way to make me comfortable. To top it all off the ladies decorated my room for my Birthday and sang to me. It was very sweet, I cried. I can't say enough about this place. Every meal was perfect. Every day was amazing.
