Great location, parking and food! Good value and really kind staff. Facility is dated and rooms lack some modern convenience like outlets and good lighting but they have it priced accordingly so it’s a fair trade off. We managed fine and spent lots of time in the restaurant where the food was good and the atmosphere comfortable ;-). We would certainly stay here again!!
Great location and staff, but the resort is looking tired and needs maintenance. Rooms don't have coffee makers or refrigerators. Basic and clean. It's not safe to swim at this Beach, but it is very nice to walk along. The pool is warm and clean. The restaurant has a diverse menu.
We had a wonderful experience at Fuego Del Sol. As a luxury travel advisor, I’m always looking for special finds—and this was truly a hidden gem we discovered on our way back from Manuel Antonio. Even though they were fully booked, they graciously accommodated my husband and me for a beach day, which speaks volumes about their hospitality. Jonathan was especially lovely—kind, helpful, and genuinely welcoming. The setting is beautiful, the beach is stunning, and the pool was refreshing. We enjoyed both breakfast and lunch, and the food was excellent. We didn’t stay overnight, but every guest we saw looked completely relaxed and content. This is a typical beach front hotel with just a bit extra. The beach is lovely, sunsets amazing. On site restaurant serves breakfast (included in room rate), lunch and dinner. Menu is varied with open air seating as well as beach seating. Rooms are clean and comfortable with pool side patios on first floor and screened verandas on second floor. Cannot say enough about the staff. Everyone was very accommodating and friendly. I would definitely recommend Fuego del Sol for your Jaco stay. We look forward to returning next year.
Highly recommend this hotel! The staff are exceptional, very friendly and helpful. The beach is only steps from your hotel room. The pool is warm and clean, lovely. The on-site restaurant and bar is fantastic. Some of the best food you'll find, with very fair prices. You can at all times sit and watch/listen to the waves. Beach is clean and there is no need for water shoes. The rooms are clean, with very good A/C and hot showers. Had a king size comfortable bed, but that's about it for the room. Its large enough for your needs, but simple and basic. Its actually all you'll need for this location, as you'll be outside the entire time. Free parking on-site. Very safe, couldn't ask for anything else.
