Description

Corcovado National Park is one of the most biodiverse parks on the planet. It covers a big part of the Osa Peninsula and protects a huge variety of ecosystems: rainforests, mangroves, beaches, rivers, coastal rainforest, and more. A day tour aims to give you a taste of this natural wealth: guided walks, wildlife spotting, interacting with a pretty remote environment, and the experience of moving through the jungle. Difficulty and conditions The hike is considered moderate to medium-high difficulty, depending on the trail, duration, weather, and terrain. The distance you cover can vary (4 km). The route includes jungle, rivers, possible water crossings, wet terrain, and slippery spots if it's rained. Weather conditions can affect which trails you can walk and how far you can go. In some cases, to maximize the time inside the park and the biological corridor in the sector, the operator chooses routes that minimize the extensive hike, using 4x4 vehicles more.
