Hotel Costa Verde is a great place to stay when visiting Manuel Antonio. It feels like you're living right inside the park, surrounded by nature, and you get the full Manuel Antonio experience. The rooms are comfortable, the hotel grounds are beautiful, and my whole family loved it. Breakfast was a highlight, we had capuchin monkeys just a few feet away putting on an endless show, playing around and even trying to steal our food! We also spotted a sloth and several unique tropical birds. It's a fantastic place for families and couples alike. Next time we visit, we're planning to stay in one of the famous airplane suites, they look incredible and offer amazing views.
The ocean view is spectacular. 2 pools and a 3rd adult only section and pool. Service has been great. Front desk helps with service, excursions and shuttles to area restaurants. Monkeys and iguanas easy to watch right from your balcony. Great Wi-Fi for the family as well. Highly recommended you won't be disappointed!
4.5 star rating here! We enjoyed our stay at costa verde. Excellent rooms we had the ocean view penthouse, very beautiful views. The room and buildings seem old school and have wear and tear. The room is the same, older style and obvious wear and tear. However it was clean and tidy. We arrived and had to wait for awhile for a person to take us to room. After a long flight it would be best to just have people on standby so we can just go lay down and not wait another 20/30 minutes to have a luggage person take our stuff. We can do it lol! No beach towels. ** bugs , some people are very bothered by bugs we are not but if you are there will be ants, geckos, other bugs in your room. To be fair it’s the rainforest. Don’t throw trash in your trash can or you will have tons of ants. Anyway, we had monkeys on our patio which was delightful and on our floor could easily see the sloth on top of tree near us. So cool! The hotel is surely a 4 star hotel. The service was good but not 5 star. Either way very happy with our stay and we enjoyed it. Very accommodating and a great stay. The view is spectacular of Manuel Antonio. Probably one of the best views in town. We felt very safe with security type person at the front gate. We had zero safety issues! We also had monkeys right on our patio but be careful they can scratch you if you have food on you. They will try to take it!
Moved to Costa Verde after having a bad experience at a nearby AirBnB. The staff was welcoming and helpful in finding us a room given our situation. We were very pleased with the room, the air conditioning, the cleanliness, etc. Options are a bit limited for decent accommodations in Manuel Antonio (we visited other places during our search to get away from our rough AirBnB situation, and many weren’t great), but Costa Verde is a reliable option. Stayed in adult only area and it was pleasant. Lots of cool wildlife throughout the property (monkeys, toucans, etc.).
All in all a very positive experience with great service minus AC issues that made it impossible to sleep for our friends. The front desk refused any compensation. The shower pressure is lacking in the high floors. Pool bar prices are Vegas like so hit the market first. Great views and plenty of wildlife really balanced out any of the negatives. Breakfast was pretty solid as well.
